BoChic the Free Peeps

Now that summer is just around the corner it seems like everywhere you look there is an advertisement for some sort of music festival-- whether it be the star studded Coachella festival in Palm Springs or Lalapalooza in Chicago. Either way you have to learn how to dress the part if you're going to fit in with these boho crowds.

My suggestion--> FREE PEOPLE.

For me Free People is totally hit or miss. Sometimes their vintage look at the not so vintage prices doesn't always pull me in, but other times WOW!! it can be FABULOUS!!

Check out some of my favorite items they have in store now..

And hey even if the music festivals aren't your scene there designs are perfect for summer dates, the beach, and a rooftop night at a Boulder bar :) ... at least that's where I'll be!!

Young, Fabulous, and NOT Broke..

Now it seems as though some people find it "fashionable" to spend $1000 on a purse just because it's Dior or Gucci, but what's the point if the bag is UGLY?!

I mean I know it's fun to have labels.. don't get me wrong I would love a Dior purse and I am a Tory Burch FREAK, but trust me it's never worth it to spend money for the label if the bag just isn't right or the shoe just doesn't fit!

Sometimes it's worth it to run over to forever 21 and buy that cute cardigan for $20 instead of $120.

A true fashionista can look like a million bucks .. without spending a million bucks.

Here are some of my own examples ... ENJOY!

(Stella & Jamie, $480.00)
(Cleobella, $125.00)

(Forever 21, $13.80)
(Wildfox, $77.00)

(Love Child, $88.00)
(Forever 21, $2.80)

Spring Fling

                                                                (B.P. "LOTUS" Sandal)

Even though the state of Colorado thinks it's funny to randomly snow in the middle of April and probably around graduation in May, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner. Now even though I can't put away my Hunter and Ugg boots for good-- I can finally whip out my sandal collection.

The last two years Nordstrom has been kind enough to provide my favorite style sandal in both black and beige. Now last year I purchased the style in black, however it looks a little different from this style with a simple suede look. This year however they have switched it up to a more "beach-y" look (which I also LOVE).

I love this kind of sandal because you can dress it up or dress it down. It looks fabulous with jeans, shorts, or even a dress.

I've decided since living in Colorado that you just have to think warm ... So here's to SUNNY thoughts! :)

Wash Out?

So while sitting in class this morning I was being the amazing student I am and researching for my future... and by researching I mean online shopping.. hey, I have to research for my boutique and invest in my wardrobe to get where I wanna be...

Anyways I stumbled upon these jeans and am having trouble deciding whether to purchase them or not.. I have grown fond of jeans that are different, but the only problem is you can't wear them all the time..

(Jet by John Eshaya Splatter Jean in Grey)

So what do you do?... Do you buy them and just hope that you'll love them and look as hot as Nicole Richie or do you pass them up and stick to the same old jean?

Sometimes I feel as though the risk is worth it.. I mean if I am going to move to LA I have to step my game up!
